Please review the information below before registering to ensure you understand course requirements, expectations, and the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) certification process.

TCFP Certification Notice

Lone Star Leadership is a Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Certified Training Facility. Our courses provide TCFP-approved curriculum and prepare students for TCFP certification testing.

Completion of a course does not guarantee certification. Students must successfully pass TCFP examinations, meet eligibility requirements, and submit an application for certification through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.

📚 COURSE FORMAT & REQUIREMENTS

All Lone Star Leadership courses use a hybrid training format designed for working firefighters.

Online Coursework

Students complete coursework, assignments, and quizzes online during the scheduled course period.

Required In-Person Session

All students must attend the scheduled in-person session, which includes:

Proctored course final exam
Proctored skills evaluation (when applicable)
Instructor review and preparation for TCFP testing

Failure to attend the in-person session will prevent successful course completion.

📅 ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS

Students are responsible for:

Completing all online assignments by posted deadlines
Attending the required in-person testing session
Bringing required identification and course materials
Meeting all course participation requirements

💻 TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

Students must have:

Reliable internet access
A computer or tablet capable of accessing course materials
Ability to participate in online learning platforms

📖 TEXTBOOK REQUIREMENTS

Students are responsible for obtaining the required textbook(s) for their course prior to the course start date.
Textbook information will be provided after registration.

💰 TUITION & PAYMENT POLICY

Full payment is required to reserve a seat in the course.
Course seats are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Refund Policy

Refunds may be issued if a student withdraws before the course start date.
Once the course begins, tuition becomes non-refundable.

📌 STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

By registering, students acknowledge they are responsible for:

Meeting TCFP eligibility requirements
Scheduling and completing TCFP certification testing
Submitting certification applications to TCFP

Lone Star Leadership provides training and preparation but does not issue certification.
